To Reduce the dropout rate of education the government of Telangana launch its initiative known as “Telangana NMMS Scholarship”. The NMMS Scholarship is run by state government under the central government. The Telangana NMMS Scholarship will be support to economically backwards and meritorious students. The financial assistance of Rs.12,000 will be provided to selected underprivileged students. Students of class 8th are eligible to fill application form before 30th November it is extended date. Under this scholarship the financial aid will be given to ward of class 9th to 12th for four years studying in government or semi government school.

Objective of Telangana NMMS Scholarship
The main objective Telangana of NMMS Scholarship is to help economically disadvantages students by providing them financial assistance to pay their education expenses and continue their studies without any financial difficulties. Through this scholarship the dropout students will decrease and the rate of literacy will increase and all students will achieve their dream. This scholarship is a great financial support for those students who have financial trouble but have faith to be educated people for achieve their all dreams. Scholarships are awarded annually to students from class 9th to 12th belonging to financially disadvantages backgrounds.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students from class 8th standard to 12th are eligible to apply under Telangana NMMS Scholarship.
- Students from class 9th must score at least 55% marks in the previous exam (8th class) to continue the NMMS Scholarship.
- Students who passed 9th standard will get a scholarship in class 10th as well.
- Class 10th passed students must score 60% to continue their scholarship in 11th standard. There will be 5% mark concession for the backward category. Students who pass class 11th will get a scholarship in the 12th standard.
- Students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, non-government schools, and residential schools are not eligible.
- Applicants family annual income must be less than or equal to Rs.3.5 lakh.
