To support economically weaker section, Schedule Tribe category students the Government of Uttarakhand launched its initiative NSP Pre Matric Scholarship for ST Students Uttarakhand state sector, the social welfare department of Uttrakhand has give the flag to this initiative and announced to provide yearly allowances to students who have facing financial trouble in pursuing their studies. The government focus on backward category to support their education by giving them allowances, the selected student will a chance to get annual allowances up to Rs.6250. for the eligibility the students must have their caste certificate and domicile certificate. Only the ST students of Uttarakhand are eligible for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students be an Indian national
- Students have domicile certificate of Uttarakhand
- Students belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category
