Eligibility Criteria
Students who are permanent residents of West Bengal can apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM). Other relevant eligibility criteria include-
- Students must have secured at least 60% marks in the last qualifying examination for higher secondary and undergraduate courses.
- A minimum of 53% marks is required for students applying to postgraduate general courses.
- Students applying for technical or engineering postgraduate programs must have secured at least 55% marks.
- The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a recognized educational institution located within West Bengal.
- Students must not be recipients of any other government scholarship at the time of application.
- Kanyashree K2* recipients are eligible to apply for the postgraduate scholarship under the special K3 component of the scheme.
