Objective of Goa Pre Matric Scholarship

The main objective of scholarship is to help students get a primary education. This scholarship will help the students to focus on primary education and build a base for their future. The benefits of the students must have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh. According to the information, there are a total of two components of the schemes that are introduced by the Goa state government, and financial assistance under the scholarship is divided according to whether the student is a day scholar or a hosteller. For day-scholars, the financial assistance is INR 3500, and for hostelers, the financial assistance is INR 7000 for component one and INR 8000 for component 2.

Eligibility Criteria

Component 1: Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students

  • The students should be studying in classes IX and X on a full-time basis.
  • You must belong to an SC, ST, and OBC.
  • Their Parent/guardians’ income should not exceed INR 2.50 lakh per annum.

Component 2: Pre-Matric scholarship for children of parents/guardians engaged in Unclean and hazardous Occupation

  • The students should be studying in classes I to X on a full-time basis
  • Scholarship will be admissible to the children/wards of parents/guardians who, irrespective of their caste/religion, belong to one of the following categories;
  • Persons who are Manual Scavengers as defined under section 2(I)
  •  of the Manual Scavengers Act 2013
  •  Tanners & Flayers;
  •  Waste pickers and
  •  Persons engaged in hazardous cleaning as defined in Section 2(I) (d) of Manual Scavengers Act 2013.

Application Process

STEP 1: All the students who want to apply for the Goa Pre Matric Scholarship 2025 are requested to visit the official website.

STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “register”.

STEP 3: A guideline form will appear on your desktop screen the citizens must read carefully and scroll down and click on the option “next”.

STEP 4: A new page will appear on your desktop screen tye students must enter their mobile number and OTP that they have received on the registered mobile number.

STEP 5: The students must enter the captcha code and click on the option “verify” to move on to the next page.

STEP 6: Now the students must complete the eKYC process by entering the details that are asked and click on the option “next”.

STEP 7: Now on the last page the students must enter all the additional details including their address, education and bank account details.

STEP 8: After entering all the details, the students can click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
