Under this scholarship the authorities will provide academic allowances up to Rs.4000 to SC/ST and OBC category students. The ward of class 9th and 12th are eligible to avail the benefits of this scholarship. The students can simply visit the official website and fill out the application form online to avail the benefits.
Objective of Assam Pre Matric Scholarship
The main objective of launching the scholarship is to assist the students of Assam state and allow them to pursue primary education without going any financial trouble. The scholarship will offer financial support and other benefits to the students who belong to the SC, ST, and OBC categories. Students belonging to the ST category will receive financial assistance of INR 6250 for hostellers and INR 3000 for day scholars. Students belonging to the SC category will receive financial assistance of INR 7000 for hostellers and INR 3500 for day scholars. Students belonging to the OBC category will receive financial assistance of INR 4000.

Eligibility Criteria for SC Students
- Applicants must belong to the SC category.
- Applicant must be studying in classes 9th and 10th.
- Applicant must have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh.

- Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Tribe, so specified in relation to the State/Union Territory to which he/she actually belong (Domicile State).
- Applicants must be studying in a Government School or in a School recognized by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education.
- Applicants must have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh.
- Applicants must have a valid account in a Scheduled Bank, linked with Aadhaar and your mobile number.
- Applicants must not be getting any other scholarship.
- Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, he/she would not get a scholarship for the same class twice.
- Applicants can renew the scholarship for the next class when he/she is promoted.
Eligibility Criteria for OBC students
- The scholarships are open to Nationals of India only.
- Applicants must have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh.
- Applicants must be studying in classes 9th and 10th.
- Applicants must belong to either of OBC, EBC or DNT (who are not covered under SC, ST or OBC) through a valid certificate.

Application Process
- STEP 1: All the students who want to apply for the Assam Pre Matric Scholarship for SC, ST and OBC Students are requested to visit the official website.
- STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “register”.
- STEP 3: A guideline form will appear on your desktop screen the citizens must read carefully and scroll down and click on the option “next”.
- STEP 4: A new page will appear on your desktop screen. the students must enter their mobile number and OTP that they have received on the registered mobile number.
- STEP 5: The students must enter the captcha code and click on the option “verify” to move on to the next page.
- STEP 6: Now the students must complete the eKYC process by entering the details that are asked and click on the option “next”.
- STEP 7: Now on the last page the students must enter all the additional details including their address, education and bank account details.
- STEP 8: After entering all the details, the students can click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
