Vellore Institute of Technology has launched a VIT Vellore Scholarship Scheme to reduce financial burden on students who belong to economically backward categories. The financial assistance will be provided in the terms of fee waivers the 100% of fee will be given to the students who clear the exam of VITEEE and get a highest rank. Over 10,000 students will be benefited by this scholarship scheme. Under this scholarship, the students get tuition waivers and scholarships each year. About VIT Vellore Scholarship Scheme
The Vellore Institute of Technology offers the VIT Vellore Scholarship Scheme. The award primarily intends to assist deserving but financially disadvantaged students in completing their education. In fact, students who have achieved a high rank in their engineering entrance test can apply for a VIT Vellore scholarship under the GV School Development Programme (GVSDP). State and Central champions will have their tuition waived for the entire four years. Furthermore, two outstanding students from government schools in rural areas will receive a tuition cost remission in addition to an exemption from dormitory and mess fees. Therefore, students with VIT Ranks 1 through 1000 will have a portion of their tuition charge waived.

Eligibility Criteria
- While, SC/ST students from Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura must have obtained only 50% in the PCMB.
- Candidates must have passed their class 12 exams with an overall grade point average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Math, or Biology.
- They should also be pursuing their BTech or MBA from VIT Vellore and should’ve given GMAT/ MAT/ NMAT.

Types of VIT Vellore Scholarship
The majority of scholarship programs available at the institute level are merit of VIT.
- GV School Development Programme (GVSDP) – State/Central board toppers and VITEEE rank holders receive tuition fee discounts of up to four years.
- STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students) Scholarship – The top ten students from rural government schools who are studying and have a family income of INR 1.5 LPA will receive a fee remission for academic and dormitory amenities, as well as basic medical expenses.
- VIT Merit & Sports Scholarships – Vellore Institute of Technology provides meritorious students with merit scholarships and financial aid.
